The other day one of my leads sent me an e-mail asking for me to explain attraction marketing to him and to please not send him to watch any videos as he wanted me to explain one on one how to market on-line. My first thought was to call him up but as he had not left me his phone number either in the e-mail nor in MLSP back office I concluded that he was not a serious prospect and replied to his e-mail telling him that if he was serious about making money on line and take his business to the next level he would have to watch some videos in order to learn attraction marketing.
Imagine if all my prospects asked me for a one on one consultation I would not have any time left to do any marketing. Yes I do need to call my prospects and team members from time to time and I like to spend five minutes getting to know them, but it is far better for them to learn from the training videos inside the system as these have been specifically made for this purpose and if they do not get something the first time the video can be replayed over and over till they do, and then if they are still having difficulties understanding something then that is when they should call and ask and I would be only too happy to help them. The training videos go into great detail and are made with the newbie in mind, so it is far better to watch something being done the correct way than for me to try to explain how it all works over the phone or in an e-mail.
You probably would have spent eleven or more years at school learning how to get a job and then once you have got one you will spend even more time learning it. Learning attraction marketing is much the same and is not a five minute affair nor are you going to get results in the first few months, you have to have a plan of say two to five years and you will go through a steep learning curve in that time. If you are not prepared to put that time and effort in then please don’t even think about starting with a network marketing company as you will fail before you have begun.
Needless to say I have not heard back from this particular lead nor will he join my team as I can tell that he is not serious enough about network marketing and is probably satisfied with his lifestyle.

One major problem that is faced by all new marketers is the lack of prospects or leads to show their MLM opportunity to, let’s face a fact, we will see a network opportunity as a great way to earn extra cash and will want to join but we will have doubts because we will have no idea how we are going to market it. The first thing that we will think of and indeed will be told by our up-line is to make a list of all the people that we know, family, friends and acquaintances etc, this is known as your warm list and will probably consist of about 200 to 250 people. The only problem with this is that most of the people on the list are not interested in your products nor do they want to join your business, the people on this list are not what we call ‘laser targeted prospects’, and they will probably think of you as a pest if you were to keep talking about your products and business opportunity every time that you met, and also, if you were to keep calling them up.
So how do we find ‘laser targeted prospects’, or better still, make it easy for them to find you? Advertising your opportunity by putting cards in shop windows or by placing ads in newspapers are some of the traditional methods used by marketers, but they are time consuming and are not very effective. Looking at the Internet, ‘Pay Per Click’ or PPC advertising is an effective method but is also very costly, don’t even think about it unless you have a couple a of thousand dollars lying around, but the Internet still looks to most people as the best source of advertising so what are you going to do that would be an effective form of advertising?
Having a your own self hosted blog is a very effective and permanent means of advertising your opportunity and indeed yourself as you can place links to your social media accounts etc on it, you can put exactly what you want on it and it does not cost the earth to run, all that you will need is your own domain name that you purchase from a domain registrar and a hosting account, this makes for a very affordable form of marketing for the marketer and is an easy way to get an extremely large advertisement on the Internet.
You will of course have to have to learn some technical aspects of setting up and running a blog but if you are able to follow simple instructions you should be able to do this without any problems at all, and you will have to work by posting original content on to your blog regularly and this overtime will generate the traffic that will find you your laser targeted prospects that will join you in your network marketing business.
